Heat treatment does not alter the overall metaphysical/healing properties of a stone/crystal. Purple amethyst and heat treated yellow-orange amethyst both hold the healing properties of the natural amethyst. Mother Earth heats the citrine through the natural geo-thermal heat or man will speed up the process themselves. However, it will change how you incorporate the heat treated stone with color therapy. So if it was a natural purple amethyst, you’d treat the purple-like chakras but since it’s been heat treated and turned to a yellow-orange color, you would use it for the solar plexus chakra therapy.
